Step 1: Intake Form
When you arrive at Kinetic Salon, we’ll start by giving you an intake form to fill out. This form will help us to understand your hair type and any specific concerns you may have about your hair.
Step 2: Professional Recommendations
After we’ve gotten to know your hair, it’s our turn to make professional recommendations. We’ll discuss the best extension method for you, color matching, and the length that we feel suits your hair best. We’ll also discuss your beauty budget and make a plan for your extension transformation.
Step 3: The Exciting Part!
Once we have a plan in place, we’ll schedule your extension transformation reservation. We’ll take a deposit to hold your reservation and order your hair extensions. Your new hair will be waiting for you on transformation day.
Preparing for Your Hair Extension Consultation
To get the most out of your hair extension consultation, we recommend that you arrive with clean hair in its natural state. This will help us to see your hair color, density, and texture. If you always straighten your hair or alter its natural state, please arrive with your hair styled so that we know how you will most likely be wearing your hair’s texture.
You should also have an idea of your beauty budget. Extensions are a luxury service, so it’s good to have an idea of what you’re prepared to invest. Your stylist will recommend what method and look will be best for you and give you a quote for your total extension cost during your consultation.
During your hair extension consultation, we will answer all of your extension questions and make sure you feel totally prepared. A deposit is required before reserving your extension transformation, and you will be asked to sign an extension agreement form where the total cost of your services will be laid out.
When to Wait to Book Your Hair Extension Consultation
If your hair is really short and you want length, not just volume, we recommend waiting until your hair has grown to a certain length before booking your hair extension consultation. If your beauty budget isn’t ready yet, consider our budget-friendly extension options, such as express extensions or clip-in extensions. If you’re currently experiencing abnormal shedding or going through a major hair color change, we recommend waiting until your shedding has slowed to a normal amount or until you’ve had your hair colored the way you want it.
